What is MongoDB?

MongoDB is a type of document database created to build scalable and readily available web applications. It is particularly favored by development teams that use agile methods, thanks to its adaptable schema design. MongoDB supports drivers for most popular programming languages, facilitating rapid application development without requiring significant database setup.
